The proposed command scheme uses the electromagnetic torque errors through an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) and the classic PI speed regulator based the fuzzy logic (FL) regulator. Simulation results by using ANFIS regulator and FL regulator are compared with those of the conventional DTC with 36 sectors. The comparison results of DTC command with intelligent regulators illustrate the reduction in the electromagnetic torque, total harmonic distortion (THD) value of stator current and stator flux ripple and the validity of the proposed control is confirmed by the simulation results.
2019-09-14T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## An Investigation into the Effect of Non-segmented Rotor on the Torque of an Outer Rotor Switched Reluctance Motor for In-wheel Electric Vehicle Application 2019-11-02T15:13:10+00:00 Vahid Hanaeinejad Mohammadali Abbasian Milad Dolatshahi
High torque electric machines have found numerous applications in the industry such as electric vehicle applications. With common optimization of the structure of the electric machines, it is not possible to achieve a considerable increase in the torque-producing capability of the machine. Hence, appropriate solutions for increasing the machine torque should be searched by proposing a different structure and focusing on the exact analysis of the machine forces. A deep knowledge on the electromechanical energy conversion process and the distribution of the force’s components will allow designing a high torque density electric machine can be developed. Accordingly, in this paper, a double-stator switched reluctance motor is analyzed, firstly. Then, based on the analysis, a high torque switched reluctance machine titled “outer rotor switched reluctance machine” for the in-wheel electric vehicle is designed. Finally, the effect of non-segmented rotor is examined. Simulation is done by finite element method (FEM) in the MAGNET software.
2019-09-14T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## Harmonic Mitigation in Iron and Steel Plants 2019-11-02T15:14:09+00:00 VAIJU NAGO KALKHAMBKAR
Electrical power quality defines the health of power system which includes voltage and current quality, reliability of power supply and maintaining sinusoidal nature of waveform. Voltage flickers and fluctuations, poor power factor and harmonics are the most common power quality issues in steel producing plants due to Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), electrical drives and welding machines. Non-linear characteristics of EAF are the major sources of power quality issues that mainly include harmonic production and large reactive power variations. In this paper, harmonic analysis is carried out in steel plant. The measured harmonics crosses the permissible IEEE standard limit. Shunt Passive filter is designed in proposed work for reducing harmonics mainly focusing on dominant 5th and 7 th Harmonics. The performance of passive filter with EAF is simulated in MATLAB as well as CYME software. Hardware and software results are also presented in this proposed work.
2019-09-14T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## Designing a Filter for Nonlinear Loads by Reduction of Harmonic Distortions 2019-11-05T10:54:47+00:00 Farhad Daneshi Alireza Tavakoli
This paper presents a design model and power filter improvement to deal with the issues of power quality such as harmonics distortions and reactive power alternating current in nonlinear loads. Filters are applied to compensate harmonics reduction and reactive power management. In this paper, correction of distortions caused by nonlinear loads is focused by means of designing a proposed filter. This work is along with calculating capacitor characteristics which is required from impedance quantities. The current research has shown that using filters will reduce harmonic distortions from 17% to .69% leading to power quality enhancement in power electricity network.
2019-09-27T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## Review of DC Microgrid system with Various Power Quality Issues in “Real Time Operation of DC Microgrid Connected System” 2019-11-02T15:17:04+00:00 ILA RAI S Ravishankar Anand R
This paper presents an overview of the various microgrid architectures of DC microgrid and power quality issues including harmonic currents, inrush currents, bus fault ,circulating currents and grounding of the system. A microgrid utilizing a DC bus can avoid various power conversion steps, and hence minimize the loss incurred as compared to AC bus. The high frequency semiconductor devices with greater voltage blocking capacities are essential components of DC microgrid. With the advent of new power electronic devices and circuits, the practical implementation of DC microgrid still suffers from various power quality issues and device limitations. This paper investigates and compares the power loss and harmonics for different semiconductor devices with the help of MATLAB and the experimental findings indicate that SiC device implementation significantly increases energy efficiency and enhances microgrid power quality.
2019-09-27T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## An Improved Method of Static Code Analysis Based on the Context-Sensitive Rules 2019-11-05T09:28:03+00:00 Sepideh Mohajer Naraghi Mir Ali Seyyedi
One of the static test methods is static code analysis, which is to analyse the source code by specific tools without running the code. This method tries to detect possible code vulnerabilities by techniques such as data analysis and flow analysis. Static code analysis contains limitations, one of which is the vulnerability report if it is not. This paper focus is on reducing these false reports, which have been dealt with in many ways. Our method is to have a list of code analysis rules and to examine for each context the rules in that context, as a result of which all the rules are not analysed by the code analyser. For example, for security analysis, we just focus on security rules, not design or other rules. So we reduce the error messages by applying filters to the entire rules.
2019-09-14T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
